So true. I know my thoughts hold me back for a variety of things in my life. Swimming competitively in high school my thoughts definitely affected how successful I was. Just recently, I joined a workout class where we balance on a rounded platforms called Activators doing rows or arm presses or arm curls with weights and I find my thoughts are not always positive like “I know I can do this” to rather “I don’t think I can”. What’s amazing now is that I am balancing on the Activators, and you would never know I could barely do any of the moves.
It’s interesting to me how our thoughts affect our self image or how confident we are. A continual learning process.
